The non-profit organization DKMS Deutsche Knochenmarkspenderdatei (German Bone Marrow Donor Database) saves lives by recruiting bone marrow donors for leukemia patients. With more than two million registered donors, it is the world’s largest bone marrow donor database. To date DKMS has helped facilitate more than 18,000 blood stem cell transplants − worldwide.
DKMS Life is a free service program, created to help individuals with cancer to improve their self-esteem, feel better and manage their recovery with greater confidence. Further information can be found at: www.dkms.de.
